about

An incomplete catalog of our installation called "Invitation" at Border Patrol in Portland, Maine. We invited deep participation in our process by hosting cassette making parties, group discussions, presentations, and a sonic tea ceremony and dinner. All of this was broadcast live on 87.9FM, which had a ~ 3 block radius. We made recordings for a few reasons: to give away copies to our visitors, to add to the archive, and hopefully to give these sound waves a longer lifespan before they eventually decay to inaudible vibration. Please enjoy.
